ANORBANK advances capital-strengthening plan
ANORBANK has taken decisive steps to address the factors that led to its recent rating downgrade.
On October 5, the General Meeting of Shareholders approved an additional share issuance of UZS 100 billion to raise new equity. This removes the dependency of the bank's recapitalization plan on circumstances related to any individual shareholder.
The bank is currently completing the regulatory and corporate approval procedures required to finalize the issuance and effect the capital increase.
In addition, on October 2, Kakhramonjon Olimov tendered his resignation from ANORBANK's Supervisory Board. The resignation will be considered at the General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for October 28.
The bank continues to operate in the ordinary course of business, fully meeting its obligations to clients and maintaining uninterrupted access to all core banking services.
ANORBANK remains on track to execute its capital-strengthening plan and will provide market updates as key milestones are achieved.
