In response to the information circulating on social media regarding the alleged sale of ANORBANK’s client database, we would like to clarify the following:
On July 5, two Facebook groups shared posts claiming that ANORBANK’s client data was being sold. The Bank’s team noted that the profile responsible for spreading this information was created on the same day the complaint was posted and featured only one photo, which was sourced from the internet. As part of the investigation into the alleged data breach, it was confirmed that the report was false. The posts were subsequently removed by the group administrators due to lack of evidence or credible sources.
Nevertheless, on July 7, the Telegram channel Eltuz published a story based on the now-deleted posts, despite the fact that moderators had already removed them for being unreliable.
ANORBANK’s Information Security Department regularly monitors platforms for any claims or supposed "leaks" involving client data or phone numbers. The message in question was reviewed and found to be absent from any monitored sources — clearly indicating that the claims were fabricated. Such messages are provocative in nature and are intended to damage the Bank’s reputation.
ANORBANK’s security system provides multi-layered protection for clients’ funds and personal information.
For clients with deposits, an additional security layer is in place: any attempt to access the mobile application from a new device is automatically blocked by the system.
For clients without deposits, remote identity verification is required — access from a new device is granted only after confirming the user’s identity.
This security architecture effectively prevents unauthorized access and ensures the protection of both personal data and financial assets.
Important: Under recent changes to legislation, those who spread false information — including group or channel administrators — may be held legally accountable. In such cases, the Bank reserves the right to take legal action to protect its reputation.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage a responsible approach to sharing such information.
